As we head towards Holy Week, I am reminded of what this Lenten Season asks of us all. Lent is a time of deep reflection, of renewal and of course Resurrection. This Sunday is the final Sunday of Lent. Not the end of Lent, but the final Sunday. When we come to worship each Sunday, we come to be reminded of our relationship with God. Lent intensifies those reminders. We will be talking this Sunday about the resurrection of Lazarus.

Blessings from the Pastor’s messy desk. I am writing this as I savor the smells of Tuesday night supper being prepared for our fellow brothers and sisters. Yes, you can’t beat ham in the oven with scalloped potatoes, wafting to my office. Those souls who will enjoy this meal come to be served and that is what this church has done for 90 years. Yes, 90 years is a long time, but the hard work of all who volunteer are rewarded by the thankful smiles and full stomachs that are served.

Beloved, may we all take a deep breath and welcome God’s presence in our lives. I realize that it has been difficult to take a deep breath with all the ash from the fires, but as I pray for a good rain this week, my hope is renewed as the fires are put to sleep. Like many of you, I cringe to watch or hear the news, local or worldwide. Most of us are weary from bad news. From the craziness of politics to catastrophic destruction to airplane crashes, yes Lord, we are weary. I have and always will believe that from every crisis comes opportunity. An opportunity to find God in turbulent times. In every burned-out home and every broken heart lies opportunity. God is with us.
To inspire the entire world as passionate & enthusiastic followers of Jesus Christ so ALL can experience the transformative powers of God’s love.
We believe wholeheartedly that God is Love and that all are equal, welcome, and cherished in that Love.
We believe wholeheartedly that God is for us and never against us.
God loves every living thing. We are all children of God.
Project:Needs has been serving the local South Bay Community for over 30 years. We offer a free hot meal every Tuesday at 5:15 pm prepared by local faith-based groups in our church kitchen. All are welcome.
In partnership with the L.A. Food Bank, Project:NEEDS provides high quality grocery items, toiletries, hygience products and clothing on the first Thursday of each month from 9:00 am - 11:00 am.
Our quilting group has been a pillar of our St. Paul's community for many years! It is open to anyone, and meets at the church on the second and fourth Monday of every month at 7pm. Beginners are welcome and no sewing experience is necessary!
We meet every 3rd Monday of the month. One member picks the book to read that month and hosts the meeting, either at the church or their home.

We enjoy hosting creative artist experiences after church services when our Fairy Godmother of Creativity (Christie!) is available to bring her amazing talents to our fellowship hall. Everyone is always welcome!
